Mahala Mullins Cabin was formerly on Newman's Ridge. It was restored and relocated to the Vardy Community across the road from the church.

Mahala Mullins is said to have weighted over 600 lbs. She sold illegal moonshine from her cabin. The cabin walls were breeched to remove her body when she died.
