The Presbyterian Church was built in 1889 on property donated by Batey and Cynthia Collins. Several people in the community gave their lumber and labor to erect the building. The church was an integral part of the community and now serves as a museum housing many artifacts of the era.
The VCHS receives a $5,000 grant from the Nature Conservancy to begin the restoration of the Vardy Church building in 1998. From left to right are W.C.
